The Dow Corporation founder Rodney W. Dow has been an
innovator in the development of the energy futures industry
for over two decades. During the course of his career, Mr.
Dow has been actively involved with a number of major Wall
Street firms in every aspect of the business, including
sales, marketing, analysis, trading, operations, compliance,
and floor brokerage. In addition to his consulting and
clearing business expertise, Mr. Dow is also a Commodity
Trading Advisor.
An early interest in technical analysis led him to develop
Dow Vector Analysis, a technical tool used by traders for
market timing and risk analysis. While at Citibank, Mr. Dow
created a Futures Commission Merchant devoted exclusively to
energy futures, making Citibank the first U.S. bank ever to
clear a non-financial instrument.
A member of the New York Mercantile Exchange for fourteen
years, he has served on numerous committees at the NYMEX and
currently sits on the Electricity Advisory Committee and the
Alternative Investment Committee. This depth of industry
experience combined with a master's degree in psychology
enables Mr. Dow to lead and guide The Dow Corporation in
delivering unique value to clients.
"Real service is adding something which cannot be bought or
measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity."
